# Navigating the platform

> Finding your surveys, creating one and getting your bearings in the tabs.

Once logged in, you land on the home page. This is your starting point: it lists your surveys and lets you create new ones.

## The home page

At the top of the home page, a dropdown filters how your surveys are displayed.

| Option | What it displays |
| - | - |
| **All the surveys** | All the surveys you have access to. |
| **My personal surveys** | The surveys where your e-mail address is among the users with access (access in your own name). |
| **"Organization name" surveys** | One option per organization you belong to: the surveys where that organization is the owner or is present. |

The same survey can appear in several filters: for example if it is shared with your organization **and** in your name. A search bar also filters surveys by title or identifier.

<Note>
  These filters only change **what is displayed**. They have no effect on the organization in which a new survey will be created: that choice is made at creation time.
</Note>

The same dropdown also filters your **dashboards** list and your **templates** list, following the same logic: "All the dashboards", "My personal dashboards", then one option per organization — and likewise for templates.

## Create a survey

The **Create a survey** button is at the top of the home page. It first offers you a choice of starting point: write your own questionnaire, start from a template, or import a file of existing data to build a dashboard. The creation window then asks you for a few basic settings.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Name the survey">
    Give your survey a clear name.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Define the scope">
    Choose a country. At this stage only one country is possible; you can add others in the **Data collection** step for a multi-country survey.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose the master language">
    This is the language the questionnaire is written in **and** the language the results are displayed in.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Select the respondent provider">
    Panels, contact files or social networks. Only one sample source here; multi-source is configured afterwards in **Data collection**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Enter the number of interviews and the target">
    The target is simply a display setting: no need to be precise at this stage.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Fill in the background and objectives">
    Optional, but recommended.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Tip>
  The **Background and objectives** feed all of the platform's AI features: question suggestions, questionnaire review, analysis, report generation. The more precise they are, the more relevant this help is. You can also add them later, at analysis time.
</Tip>

The organization selected at creation becomes the **owner** of the survey. Remember to choose the right organization.

## The tabs of a survey

Once inside a survey, you move between its tabs. They follow the flow of a survey.

The **Summary** tab brings together the survey's general information. This is where the **Collaboration** subsection lives, where you share the survey and manage access.

## Track your exports

When you launch an export (results, report) or a survey duplication, the operation is not always instantaneous. **Export progress**, in the top right, lets you check that a task has completed and retrieve the file.

## Dashboards

**Dashboards** bring together charts from several surveys or waves in a space that can be shared by link, with no account for the recipient.
